Why We Started About2Cruise.co.uk

We started About2Cruise.co.uk because we’re passionate about cruising and we wanted to make it easier for folks in the UK to hop on a cruise without the hassle of flying. We noticed that while there were plenty of cruise websites out there, none really focused on no-fly cruises – the kind where you start and finish right here in the UK. We thought, why not create a resource that makes finding these cruises a breeze?

We also wanted to share our love for cruising and our insider tips to help others have the best possible experience. Our aim is to take away all the stress of finding a cruise. We’ll do it all for you.

We launched About2Cruise.co.uk back in 2004 when cruising was really starting to take off. We saw an opportunity to fill a niche that wasn’t being served, and we jumped on it. Since then, we’ve grown and become a favourite cruise travel agent among UK cruisers looking for convenient, no-fly options.

My Expertise...

I’ve had the pleasure of leading groups on unforgettable adventures across the globe—from the stunning landscapes of Africa (Mozambique and South Africa) and the historic wonders of the Middle East (Egypt) to the vibrant cultures of South America (Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay) and the diverse regions of Asia (Vietnam, Borneo, and the Philippines). My husband and I even took our children, then 9 and 11 years old, on a four-month journey through Egypt and Europe. It was an incredible learning experience for all of us.

I have two passions: travel and textiles. With over 25 years of travel experience and a lifelong love for arts and crafts, I decided it was time to blend the two. I’ve visited more than 50 countries, often returning to the ones that are off the beaten path and a bit more challenging. For me, having a personal connection and hands-on experience is essential.

In addition to my travels, I’m an active member of the ANZEG (Association of New Zealand Embroidery Guilds), New Zealand Creative Fibres, Aotearoa Quilters, and the Auckland Quilters Guilds.

For over a decade, I’ve owned and operated my own travel agency, specializing in cruise holidays.
