Venice to Trieste by train
Venice Marco Polo Airport handles far more international flights than Trieste’s own airport, so plenty of passengers fly into Venice and carry on by train, picking up a ride through the Veneto before they’ve even reached the ship. Getting from Venice to Trieste takes from a little over two hours on the fastest Trenitalia services up to around three and a half hours on the slower ones, arriving at Trieste Centrale for the same walk or taxi into the port.
